Just before the the egress PE , the P routeur Pop the IGP label and forward the packet with only one label (the MPLS label) because the egress PE sends an implicit null (label number 3) to the LDP neighbor for that prefix, so now the packet is arriving to the egress PE with Dec 22, 2019 · This label is then used as the second label in the MPLS label stack by the ingress PE routers when labeling VPN packets.
